{Family} Megan, Tom, & Ryan

You might remember this sweet family from little Ryan's newborn photos here.  Well Ryan is quite the growing boy at almost 8 months old, so Megan and Tom thought it was time for another family session to capture their sweet boy as he grows and changes.
Once again weather and the shutdown had us making alternative location plans, but I think their country club turned out to be a great backdrop.

He still has quite the baby blues!

Make no mistake, this little guy loves his daddy, but he is definitely mommy's little boy.

It was great catching up with these three and I look forward to seeing little Ryan continue to grow and change!

{Family} Kristin, Arthur, & Arthur V

I was lucky to spend a beautiful Saturday morning this past weekend with Kristin and Arthur and their sweet little boy Arthur V.  We went to the Constitution Gardens where Arthur V had lots of fun running around and watching the ducks and geese.

This little guy was in constant motion.

Such a great couple!

Kristin and Arthur and their little boy make such a sweet and lovely family.  I'm lucky to have spent a morning hanging out with the three of them.

{Newborn} Baby Ryan

I was so excited when Megan asked me to do a session with her newborn son.  I adore babies, and there is just something special about a newborn in the first few weeks of their life.  They change so much so quickly, so it's important to capture and preserve these first days as soon as possible.

Without further ado, there's someone who wants to say hi.

Meet baby Ryan!  Isn't he a cutie?

Megan and Tom are clearly over the moon with their new boy.  I saw nothing but love for each other and Ryan in their faces the whole morning.

There are few things sweeter than a new mom with her baby boy...

But a proud papa might just tie.

Babies and black and white just seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly, such a timeless look.

It was a wonderful morning spent with an adorable new family.

{Family} Megan, Paul, & Rhys

Megan and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend, and let me say she is a lot of fun.  She is the only person to ever get me to sing karaoke, quite a feat.  When she and her husband Paul welcomed their first child I was so excited to eventually meet him.  It took 6 months, but finally we got together for a family photo session a few weeks ago.  With the cold weather it wasn't safe to keep little Rhys outside for photos so we needed an indoor location.  Megan and Paul are both wonderfully creative people, so it was only natural that we chose the National Gallery of Art.  On the modern art side of the museum we found lots of big windows letting in beautiful light.  I will be honest, there was some concern that the security guards would end our session early, but Rhys easily charmed them with his bright blue eyes and big smile, some even offered to help us.  I'm wrapping up the editing on their photos, so this is a sneak peak even for them.

He loved this flying pose, it was the easiest way to get a smile.

Beautiful eyes clearly run in this family.

I had so much fun with this family, I can't wait for future sessions!
