{Engaged} Catherine & Michael

I am so looking forward to Catherine and Michael's wedding this coming summer.  In preparation for the big day we did a mini-engagement session.  Because we expected cold weather we initially planned to do the whole session at the National Gallery, but we were pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous day.  After snapping a few photos inside we hurried outside to catch a some shots with that magical golden light that comes just before sunset.

I really can't wait for the summer!

{Newborn} Baby Katie

It's fitting that my first session after having my little girl is a newborn session for another little girl.  Meet baby Katie, her parents Mark and Carolyn are so happy to welcome her into their lives.  Just check out those bright eyes and all that hair, it's no wonder they're smitten.

Make no mistake, she actually has her daddy wrapped around her finger.

{My Family}

Finally, at 8 weeks old my husband and I found the time have our own family photo session with our new addition, Ramona Petra.  She was born 6 weeks early on Nov. 24, 2013 at 4lbs 7oz.  She is now twice her birth size and growing like a weed to catch up with her peers.  We are loving every moment we spend with her and are doing our best to savor it all.

My husband sweetly helped out to make sure we got some photos with me and Ramona.

She has stolen her daddy's heart, and he proudly displays his love.

Copper of course had to get in on the action, it wouldn't be a photo session in our home without him.

We can happily say that our family is now complete.

 And then, after the photo session this happened, one of those special real life moments you just have to capture to make sure you never forget it.

2013 has been a wonderful year.  My business opened its doors and thanks to all of you it got off the ground running.  I've had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people, families, and couples, this past year.  It's impossible for me to pick just one favorite photo from my sessions this year, so instead here are my favorite photos from each session.  The year started with babies and families, and ended with weddings, and had lots of engagements throughout.

And of course I can't cap off a year in review post without a picture of my biggest accomplishment; the birth of my beautiful baby girl, Ramona Petra, born on Nov. 24, 4 lbs 7 oz & 17 inches long.

So yes, 2013 has been amazing, and somehow I'm sure 2014 will be just as amazing.
