{Engaged} Jessica & Ryan

This preview is long overdue, and it's my last client post until I resume sessions next year, so I decided to make it a big one!
Jessica and Ryan met during their undergrad years at Georgetown University, so of course it was only natural to begin our session where their relationship began.

We were lucky to have a gorgeous day and even found some trees with beautiful fall leaves.

What engagement session is complete without a canon?

This is definitely my favorite photo from the entire session, it completely captures both of their personalities and the fun they have together!

Isn't it sweet how Ryan's hands look like they're making a heart?

Congratulations Jessica & Ryan!
Have fun wedding planning!

{Anniversary} Jessica & Mike

Variety was the theme of the morning for Jessica and Mike's 1st anniversary photo shoot, and I think we managed to capture it.  We started the day at the Capitol and outside the National Botanical Gardens, then moved up to Constitution Garden, and finally ended the session at the Georgetown waterfront.

Even after a year of marriage, these two still seem like newly weds who got married last week.  I had so much fun hearing about their wedding and the things they love to do together.

I just love catching the early morning light like this, it has such a romantic feeling.

Happy anniversary Jessica & Mike!
And here's to many more happy anniversaries to come!

{Engaged} Amanda & Alex

I really am the luckiest photographer! I swear I get all of the greatest couples, and Amanda and Alex are no exception. Such a beautiful couple, both inside and out.

Amanda and Alex each lived in Georgetown when they first came to DC and began dating, so it is a special area of the city for the two of them, and served as the perfect backdrop.  We had a wonderful Saturday morning wandering along the canal, M street, Book Hill park, and Dumbarton Park.

We were so lucky to catch M street at a rare quiet time.

These two just radiate their love for each other, and they are constantly making each other laugh.

I think it should be a rule that if you're doing a photo session and come across a swing set, you must hop on for a few pictures.

Congratulations on your engagement Amanda and Alex!  You will have an amazing wedding I'm sure!
