{Engaged} Kara & Steve

I've known Kara and Steve for several years, so I was beyond excited to do their engagement pictures. They met during their undergraduate years at the University of Michigan.  After graduation Kara moved back to DC and Steve followed.  Over the holidays in 2011 they went to see Steve's family in Michigan.  During a sentimental visit back to their Alma Mater Steve took the opportunity to get down on one knee and asked Kara to spend the rest of her life with him.  With the importance Michigan has played in their relationship it was only natural for us to begin our session down at the World War II memorial with the state columns.

The timing of our session couldn't have been better, we managed to pick the peak of the Cherry Blossoms for 2012.  Knowing things could get crowded we started bright and early.  Unfortunately the sun hid most of the morning behind gray clouds, but we still managed to get some great shots capturing the love and joy these two share.

These two clearly adore each other and I can't wait for their wedding this summer.
